8:16PM - Myaaa...quiet...
This community's been quiet for months...
Though saying that, I don't have much to post...
My room at uni is haunted though. Originally, my wardrobe door would just swing open, then we started to hear footsteps and finally, last month, I heard my CD player going as I climbed the stairs but when I went to turn it off, not only was it off but it wasn't plugged in. And it was playing the 'Silent Hill' soundtrack *cries*
My flatmates thought I was mad until someone next door claimed that they could also hear footsteps...creepy neh? Good job I'm only living there for six more weeks...

I'm actually looking for anything kinda Paranormal that's happened in Fairbanks. I don't need information on Fairbanks Memorial or Chena Hotsprings though. Those you can find on sites online.
If anyone has anything freaky to tell that's happened around the Birch Hill rec area that would be awsome.
Reason I need it: I'm writing a novel and need to check to see if some of what I have would actually make sense. If I could get some accounts to refference it would be easier to freak out people.
Gods... You can tell I'm a hometown girl eh? It may take me a while to respond to you, I share the computer and it's my friend's night on. But I will get to you as soon as I can.
((Cross posted to my LJ, and most of the paranormal groups I'm in, on top of everything I'm in dealing with Fairbanks.))

1:27PM - What Happens When You Die?
I just created this community: http://www.livejournal.com/community/wh
I haven't even made it pretty yet. I haven't even posted in it yet. I invite people to come and talk about what they believe will happen to them when they die. Why do you believe it? This isn't a place to argue belief systems, but to share ideas.
Please delete this post with my apologies if you don't feel it's appropriate for your community.

For a number of years after moving onto this small island I fell into a sense of security like the others. Our little island was the safest place to be. A town of exactly two hundred, some of us didn't even have locks on the doors. We simply didn't need it. I was acquainted with every person on the island in some form or another and like myself; each had come to live here to get away from the stress and crime of some big city. In the four years that I have lived here I have accidentally picked up the ghost of the former resident of the house in which I now live. He's of a quite sort and rarely shows himself but suddenly last year I began to get disturbing images and recordings from him. The first of which started when I held a small party for my children. I'm the kindergarten teacher of twelve bright young children and they were going on to first grade on the main land so I held a going away party for them. Upon playing back the footage I'd shot for the parents, something flashed onto the screen and was gone within a split second. I loaded the video into my video maker on my computer and slowed it down, watching frame by frame until I came to the dark flash. To my horror it was a very ghastly ashen face of an older man. It was there for two frames and somehow was followed by two frames of my back door open. The film then returned to what I had been recording before. I was, needless to say, shaken up by the matter and of course edited it from the finished videos. Later that week I was preparing to cook dinner for myself when all of the sudden my TV turned on. I was about to turn it off however I noticed that it was the news and an emergency signal was underway. A murderer had broken out of the mainland jail and was last seen sealing a boat. That meant the man was probably already here. That night I stayed at a friend’s house because mine didn't have locks. The very next day I was folding my laundry near the back door when I distinctly heard angry male voice shouting. "The back door!" I of course screamed and fled back into the house. When I entered I was puzzled to find that absolutely everything that could be on was. The oven was turned on high, the gas stove lit, the microwave oven set to ten minutes, both TVs tuned the news channel, every light on in every room of the house and again I heard "The back door!" This time I ran into my room and slammed the door shut, grabbing the cordless from beside my bed. I sat back against the door and clutched the phone with shaking sweaty hands. I was never so scared in my entire life and suddenly it all stopped. Dead silence. The lights went out, the TVs, the oven and stove and microwave...everything. As I sat there curled up in a tight ball, trembling from the sudden freezing temperature in the room I heard it. At first it was just a whisper but as the seconds ticked by the spirit began to scream at me. "The back door!" Finally I had had enough and I stood, throwing the phone to the floor. "What do you want?! What about the bloody back door?!" And then I heard a different sound. One shuffling feet and suddenly I locked the only door that had one just before someone began to pound on it. I shot to my window and leapt through it, scuffing my hands on the gravel below as I landed. I screamed out as I ran and within a few seconds police arrived. Later I found out that the murder had indeed been on the island. He later confessed that he had seen me doing my laundry and was going to kill me. A sickening feeling came over me as I watched them pull him from my home...it was the same ashen ugly face on the video and he had come in through my back door.

Dudleytown. I've heard and read very little about thissince i first found a reference to it on a site about seven years ago. this by far is the best i've found. it details the history of the land, the previous owners and the owners today. unfortunatly because of rituals and desicrations to the land it is now illegal to go into the property, but I do find this site very interesting.

why do i feel guilty for making all the posts around here? maybe we should go for a round of ghost stories. true or fake. I'll be making some animated gifs to share. just make sure you give credit. I'll be posting those tonight. some really cool ones too. right now the only thing i have on my computer is anime but i intend to get some phantom of the opera ones out soon too. so anyway, back to the stories. you'll all have two (2) weeks to post one (1) story each. we'll each vote for the scaryist story and the winner will name their prize.
1: the story must have a name
2: must be under a cut
3: must be labled fiction or non fiction.
simple. ^^ have fun and i hope to see your stories soon!

12:49AM - Fallen into Seduction
I've been listening to Nox Arcana again. Darklore Mannor to be exact. It's this creepy ass cd that always gives me these screwed up poemish mini fics. since i get flamed on fictionpress i'll post here to see what you think. i like to think of these little creations to be plots in bud. given prper nurishment they may oneday bloom into beautiful black roses fit for the best horror movie soundstage. as the tital suggests i don't have any idea how far into what this is going to go so i'm puting it under a cut just in case, you have been forwarned. x posted in maya_akenasferu

6:23AM - your hostess with a new lj
and just for amusment, a really weird dream i had sometime last year.
I was a male albino rattlesnake that turned human. I was about fifteen and I had a little brother about nine. The humans took a path through rushing water in an underground cavern that had been built by my owner. There was the carving of Buddha on one of the walls. My younger brother turned human too and we lived in a room with other snake-humans. We had a nice teacher who was dressed in a dark suit. My brother and I started to play fight and he balled up his fist and when he shook it, it rattled. The teacher told us, almost laughingly, that it was okay to play fight and it taught very good instincts. When we were human we were dressed in 1840’s type shirts and dress pants. I was only allowed to be a human in that room and when I went up into the basement everything was upside down to me because of the angle that the room below it was built. Twice I saw other albino snakes being lead by a woman in a suit. I said excuse me, she smiled and apologized for being in my way and moved past me so I could get down (from my angle) the stairs.

7:49PM - Winner
My grandmother has worked in an old thrift store for around six years. When I started working there off and on durring the first summer, many strange things happened, including having to search the store for a nameless blond woman whom no one saw come in or leave. A clown doll, six feet tall and forty pounds, moved by it's selfe, turning to look into the room behind it and then back at the door it stood in front of at the top of a staircase in the wearhouse *it has since been removed and no one is sure how it moved. on many occasions we would leave it in one position and when we came back it would be facing another. As this doll was so heavy, it required two people to move it and only employees are allowed in the wear house, but no one is allowed on the stairs with the exception of the junior league and the manager who was almost never there.* But perhaps the oddist and only event that took place in front of more than two people was what started it. Saturday morning nine fifteen. we're due to open in fifteen. My grandmother, two emplyees, the manager, and myself were sitting in the break room right off the wear house talking. sepperating the wearhouse from the break room are two swinging doors, the top half of which is glass. the door into the ally *the one the clown faces* is deadbolted, no one is in the store as we aren't open yet. suddenly it's drawn to my attention by the woman i was talking to was the sound of heavy boots, pacing in a circle just outside the door. even after we were aware of the sound it didn't stop. to this day we are not sure what caused it, and it's never happened again. six people witnessed it and none of us can say for sure what it was. oftin i've caught glimpses of a tall figure following me up to the door, and most of the time it feels as though you're being watched in there. even the women who work for the company who own this building will not comment on why they suddenly stopped working at night.
as for the other two, The second is based on a weekend i spent in Ceader Key, though there are numerous b&bs on the island today. while the island was temporarily sunk by a hurricane in the late sixties, i have not heard of a ghost haunting the particular hotel we were staying in. down the road however there is a very old one that has had complaints about verious things souch as cold spot, foot steps, and children playing where there were none. being a very curious and talkative ten year old i was invited to come back that night and read up on the history of the island and the hotel. unfortunatly the haunted room was occupied so i was unable to get pictures.
savanah. I was six the first time i visited and came home with a ghost. who currently still resides with me, though he's been quiet these last few years. I was fifteen or sixteen the last time i went and while i did buy a white rose around the corner from union cemtary, i did not meet a mysterious woman in victorian pjs. ;-p the necklace i spoke of was baught in an antique store about a year before that. the give away in that story was that union was closed to burrial in the 40s. keep an eye out for the next contest and good luck in the future!

^^ For non anime fans, how does a Mandala sound for a prize? You can print it out and color it or you can just stare at it. Mandalas have been prooven to release stress just by looking at them. Each mandala will be hand made in windows paint, and will be different.

New layout, what does everyone think?
also, I know it's a fan ar but it's still art anyway. it's the first time i'm drawn this pose and i think it came out very well except a few miner details that i screwed up on.
so tell me what you think.
12:37AM - an odd update...
for the fifth or six time now i've been waken up by a mans voice *telling me to wake up* also telling me odd little things that i really could care less about. " hey, wake up. there's a bad thunderstorm." his definition of bad must be based on the desert as it was a very small storm and i didn't need to be waken up for it.

11:31PM - Hi :3
I joined today. Don't know what to say. I like anime, and this rhyme is starting to irritate me so it dies now *hits it*
Um, I do like anime, and I've been interested in the paranormal, and just things that aren't generally taught or explained to people anymore...
It's a shame a lot of people grow up not really learning about all that...
